Many young people are graduating from college. What do they need now that they are going out into the “ real” world? While some of them will already have jobs waiting for them, many will need to begin going on job interviews. Two very popular gift items for both you men and women are a leather pad cover or “interview case” and a good-looking pen. These leather pad covers can hold their resumes and any important papers. They can take notes on the pad inside. There are pockets inside for business cards from the many interviewers so they can send thank you notes later. There’s a loop to hold your pen. These leather pad holders are professional looking and give a great first impression. After they have the job, they can use the pad cover to take to meetings, etc. A nice pen also gives a good first impression. Taking out an old pen that may or may not write, does not give the impression you want to convey on that all important job interview. Of course, a great looking leather portfolio or briefcase is a nice gift for the graduate to receive. Many of them will travel also, so leather passport cases monogrammed with their initials make a wonderful gift. Graduates always appreciate luggage of any type. Garment bags are especially useful because they will hold suits and business clothing. They usually have not had need of a garment bag in their student lives. Business clothing needs to be kept neat and unwrinkled, making garment bags ideal for new graduates. For men, a leather tie case to keep their ties from wrinkling is also an ideal gift. Leather desk sets are perfect for those going into the business world. Desk clocks, pen stands, even picture frames are ideal “office” type gifts for those just starting out. Personalizing the gift is always an appreciated touch. Graduates starting out appreciate something new and useful as they take those next steps forward!

Before you pack your luggage , think about travel insurance.
This is the type of thing you want to research before you actually need it. Your policy may cover you, but if it doesn’t you’d like to know that in advance. When traveling out of the country, or to remote places, you might want to check your insurance policy to see if you are covered. Some high-risk sports may not be covered by your policy either. Often motorcycling, skydiving, bungee jumping, white-water rafting, parasailing and spelunking are not covered sports. If you participate in a professional or amateur competition such as bike racing, the organizer may carry insurance to cover participants. Always check with the organizer to be sure you are covered and to what extent. It’s also a good idea to have this in writing. There is supplemental coverage that you can purchase for short-term travel or for year round. You often have to sign a liability waiver when participating in certain sports or competitions. It’s certainly worth the extra time researching what you’re covered for when you’re out of the country or participating in an adventure trip. Check with your own insurance company and they may have some recommendations on supplemental insurance before your trip. You can also research additional travel insurance service from the following:
www.travelinsure.com
www.adventureadvocates.com
www.globaltravelshied.com
www.medjet.com
Medjet covers members who are injured at least 150 miles from home and will evacuate you from almost any airport in the world. They also have short-term memberships such as seven-day deals. Adventure trips are fun and exciting! Since accidents can happen anywhere, you want to know you’re covered the same way you are should you fall at home! Hopefully you’ll have a safe trip, but the right coverage can give you peace of mind!
