August 2nd, 2008

According to the Washington Post, this is the latest information from the airlines on fees for checked baggage: Keep in mind that charges may again change and it’s smart to check with your airline prior to your flight. Use the above only as a guide and always check with the airline you’re using. We do have portable scales to keep you within the limits whether going or returning home. We also have many items designed for lighter weight travel. There are even travel jackets and travel shoes. Small sized travel bottles allow you to bring less. Woolite packets are convenient so you can wash out your clothing. Carry on luggage should be within the limits specified. The overhead compartments are very crowded, and you’ll need to keep your bag “slim” and do not overstuff! Several companies such as Prolite luggage, Vera Bradley luggage, Tumi luggage, Briggs & Riley luggage and Hartmann luggage make slightly smaller carry on pieces that may work better in the conditions today.
